The winner of the 107th post is The
Chocolate Cat with only three entries I put the names under cups and twisted them around and then found the winner. I made my first bucket bag to put them in and added a travelling shoe bag. Incidentally the post with the most hits was September 30th 2008 Wisteria, Bags Vintage Dress and Keens Mustard --- I think the reason was for the site of the tea bags on a
French site .
DD has finished restoring DD2s chair it is just waiting for the two castors for the front and then she will get it upholstered in Camperdown at John Rix Uoholsterers.I can recommend John's Upholstery. DD will have to put the elbow grease into French Polishing this chair as my arthritic fingers and DDs back aren't as young as they used to be .

Here is the Strippy quilt that I have been working on over the last week. It looked so nice in the magazine. I was going along at a good rate and no mistakes until the 6th and last panel, I had matched up the squares and it was my best strip, but but, I had the stripes going down instead of up, OH!! OH!! all that unpicking , I needed a good light to unpick with so I went over to
Lighting Here is the the 5 panels taken on a windy day, what with the heat, humidity and unpicking I will be glad to see the back of this quilt. You can tell we do not get the rain in Belmont Geelong , it does rain out Lara way and up at Little River but Belmont no.

Doesnt that look nice and the instructions were easy to read.

Last Saturday week my friend Dorothy and I went to the Made "N"Thornbury market. Getting there was something else. Do you know it rains in Melbourne . We went up on the train and then the tram out to Thornbury , when we got off the tram it was bucketing down, I rang DD3 and said come and pick us up , while we were waiting for her we shared a paper catalogue for protection and when that was soaked I spied some trash outside a house and what I thought was a piece of 3 ply , after dodging traffic to get to the other side with the rain just pelting down the piece of 3ply was attached to and old becnch top. I did find a large plastic lid and Dot and I frog marched up the street to where we were being picked up. Arriving at the market I came across
Curly Pops
I just love her Chef's hats. and she has pretty nice brooches one was featured in last Sunday's Age newpaper lift out M.

From there we went to the Sister's Market at the Brunswick Town Hall, that was an exceptionally good market. I am thrilled to see all these young artists , their vitality and expression does you good. Hoor Roo Margaret
