Ho Hum where are those pesky children
Oh! there they are over with Henry, he has been telling them how to hide in the bushes,
So we will enjoy the rest of the sunny day together, while Margaret shows you what she did with scraps.
and how to make a bunny from a face cloth,
At this very moment rabbits are in plague proportions in Geelong, our daughter who lives in Highton has rabbits in their garden , so the council has laid poisoned carrots to try and rid the countryside of the pests. I have been over at Deakin University at night and the rabbits play in the carpark ,they think it is daytime, as they frolic about under the lights.

The weather is a changing
Yes today I felt the chill of winter in the air and it snowed on Mt Wellington in Tasmania, the football began today so the Summer is almost gone.
So you may ask why the Christmas sewing????
Wee I saw these table runners at $1.00 at a Manchester Warehouse in Whittington, so I had to buy a couple and embellish them , all ready for later in the year.
Blessings Margaret

Finishing off
Finishes make for a happy chappy. The feeling of something accomplished is euphoric. The op shop dress from a post a week or two became the finish of this scrappy quilt. I began this last year and began to stitch the quilt in gold thread in the herringbone stitch---- Tooo Haaard, pulled it out , dust-binned some and began again. I havr a table in mind that would suit this piece of whimsy.
These plates from the op shop became the house number 4 for down Cobden way Andrea . Andrea and Darren both have birthdays in March, now they have a new mosaic house number.
A finish to Andrea's Tis the Season hanging, I am very pleased with this finish.
But wait there is More, yes More, Andrea ( she is the one in the header looking at the camera )went to Gum Valley Parchwork in Corriemungle. Where she finds all sorts of wonderful things for her mother to do. Like work by Lenora Jenkins But more on that later . I amm of for a drive down the road to Barwon Heads . We are so blessed to live where we do, with so many coastal towns just 20 to 30 minutes away.

Saturday Morning cool, wet and loving it.
Last Saturday was a scorcher , so this Saturday I am reveling in the coolness and lack of sunshine.
During the week I did get some odds and sods finished. I gave a friend the first and I thought last Owl, however someone saw it and said " do you think she would make me one ?" fatal words.
Miss Molly Moo is a Jenny of Elefantz design, I started this last year and now she is finished
Vicky from Cobden went to the Houston Quilt Fair and bought me back a Chickadee hollow designs Vintage Christmas angel.
A nice little piece of work that comes into being with a minimum of fuss.
And another Molly Moo Really a fun cow.
Work that is full of fun and play, makes for a better person.
Cheers 'till next time Margaret
